They use Tocopherol rich extracts as a natural preservative for their products.
NO GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS
They exclude any potential GMO ingredients from their products and instead use only GMO-FREE ancestral cereals (spelt and oats) or leave the grains out completely.
PRESERVED UNDER A PROTECTIVE ATMOSPHERE
Another way they naturally preserve the food is by using nitrogen during the packaging process. By introducing nitrogen into the food bags, they can displace any oxygen that’s present to eliminate the potential for fat oxidation and, therefore, rancidity. This technique is also widely used in human food packaging.
SCIENCE IS THEIR METHOD
Science guides Farmina's actions, which is why they established a working relationship with the Chair of Animal Nutrition at the University of Naples Federico II. Clinical findings are developed and led by public entities to ensure scientific validity and are the basis for food formulation. During collaboration, many of their lines of research were published in high bibliometric scientific journals. The cooperation between Farmina and the University of Naples Federico II gave life to Farmina Vet Research whose purpose is to research and formulate new food based on the latest scientific findings.
